Come Travel With Me
Vocal Latitudes is excited to present Come Travel With Me, a program of folk songs from around the world in a variety of creative arrangements. Our concert will take place on December 10, 3 pm at St. David’s United Church, 3303 Capitol Hill Crescent NW, Calgary, AB T2M 2R2.
The folk tradition of passing songs down aurally, by rote, is an ancient practice that honours and preserves our heritage. This program will feature music from Canada, Korea, the Celtic islands, America, Africa, and more! I look forward to diving into the music very soon.
Come join our choir! The first two rehearsals on September 12 and 19 are “try-out rehearsals” where anyone is welcome to come experience the choir without committing to the full semester and concert. Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7:15pm at Calgary Unitarians (1703 1 St. NW).
